Recap: X-Mas Give Back Event in pictures

On December 15, we hosted our X-Mas Give Back Event where, together with our vendors, we joined forces to fight against underprivileged people. Networking with delicious mulled wine and BBQ burgers, while supporting charities in the meantime. This new and unique way of connecting with partners in the IT landscape was clearly to our liking. Indeed, we can proudly say that it was a successful edition.

Charities

‘Giving back to the community’ was what it was all about. We addressed two charities, namely ‘De Warmste Week‘ with the theme of underprivileged people and ‘Voedsel Ondersteuning Gent vzw (VOG)’. All attendees could give a donation of their choice and we raised no less than 10 000 euros in total. We donated this amount directly to our chosen charities.

You also massively collected items that were handed out as Christmas presents. First of all, we collected and wrapped a lot of toys as Christmas presents, which we gave to Enchanté and Kras. Together we collected a total of 142 presents that were distributed to people less fortunate throughout Ghent and East Flanders. Second, we received several boxes of baby care products and diapers. Baby-Nest is the charity that will receive these. Last but not least, we received bag after bag filled with clothing from a lot of very generous attendees. These clothes will go to Kras, with the support of VoedselOndersteuning Gent.

Networking event in Christmas atmosphere

We had transformed our Kappa Data HQ into a cozy Christmas market with four Christmas booths: delicious BBQ burgers, hot home made snacks and drinks by colleagues and friends, Christmas desserts and Christmas gifts. Look back with us at our Christmas event and enjoy these atmospheric photos.

Supporting charities while networking with some mulled wine

Besides doing our best to support these charities, we also made sure all attendees had a great time. There was certainly no shortage of food, hot drinks or a warm Christmas atmosphere, don’t you think? In addition, all attendees received a Christmas gift to take home and were able to share their thoughts in our guest book. Enjoy the photos below.
