1. ABOUT THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT

Kappa Data considers the protection of your privacy very important. We strive to process your personal data in a legal, fair and transparent manner.

The current Privacy Statement covers all personal data collected and processed by Kappa Data, with head office at Grote Steenweg 18, 9840 De Pinte. In this Privacy Statement we explain what information we collect about you, where we use that information and to whom we provide this information. In this Privacy Statement, you will also find what rights you have and how you can exercise them.

‘Personal data’: personal identifiable information, these say something directly or indirectly about you as a person (name, address, telephone number …)

‘Processing manager’: the ‘owner’ of certain personal data. This can be Kappa Data itself, or a third party (for example, our customers).

‘Processor’: the person who processes the data. This can be Kappa Data (as service provider), or a third party that processes data from Kappa Data.

2. KAPPA DATA AS PROCESSING RESPONSIBILITY

Kappa Data processes personal data of natural persons with whom we have, or wish to have a direct or indirect relationship, in the future.

This concerns both the Personal Data of the contact persons specified by its customers and suppliers, but also the contact persons of its potential customers and the Personal Data of potential employees.

Kappa Data may collect or obtain the following Personal information from you:

  • Identity data (name, e-mail address, mobile phone number, user data)
  • Information regarding your academic curriculum (in the context of an application)
  • Complaints that you submit or requests that you address to us.

The processing of this Personal Data is necessary:

  • To be able to serve our clients: Kappa Data collects Personal Data to manage its customers and to communicate with its customers. No other Personal Data is processed except identity data.
  • To be able to maintain our customer relationship: Kappa Data collects personal data from its customers to maintain and improve the customer relationship. This data is only collected if you expressively give your consent for this.
  • To be able to place orders with its suppliers.
    In all of these situations Kappa Data is responsible for the protection of these Personal Data.

The legal basis for these processing operations is:

  • The agreement you have signed with us for the purchase of our services and our legitimate interest in the effective delivery of our services to you;
  • Your permission;
  • Our legal obligation to keep certain details/data.

3. KAPPA DATA AS A PROCESSOR

Kappa Data can also process Personal Data on behalf of third parties.

Kappa Data is a service provider to its customers. Kappa Data acts as a Processor of Personal Data. Personal data that you entrust to us as a customer to process your order, is only used for the assignment you clearly define. This data is never used for any other purposes.

4. ACCESS BY AND TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTIES

We only provide third parties information that is needed to perform their work. Such recipients of your personal data may only use this information for the execution of the agreed assignment between you and us. They do not have the right to use the data for other purposes.

To be able to provide our service to you, we can pass on relevant personal details to license providers.

5. DURATION OF THE PROCESSING

Kappa Data does not retain your personal data for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes as stated in this privacy statement.

6. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

Kappa Data takes all reasonable technical security measures to the best of its ability to ensure the protection of your Personal Data.

The Personal Data provided to Kappa Data will be retained at Kappa Data and if applicable, at servers of the Data Processor on servers in Belgium or the European Union.

You must comply with the safety regulations at all times and ensure that any unauthorized access to your login and password is prevented.

You acknowledge and accept that the forwarding and storage of Personal Data is never without risk and therefore that the damage that you would suffer as a result of the unauthorized use of your Personal Data by third parties can never be recovered from Kappa Data.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

The following rights can be exercised by contacting us via info@kappadata.be, with the addition of a copy of your identity card;

Right of access and rectification

You have the right to obtain free access to your personal data and to correct any erroneous data.

Right of removal and restriction

You have the right to request that we remove your personal data. You hereby acknowledge that a request for the removal of personal data, may imply that certain services and products are not available to you.

You may also request us to limit the processing of your personal data.

Right of objection

You always have the right to oppose the use of your personal data. You must give serious and legitimate reasons for this.

You can also oppose to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, for which you do not need to provide any motivation.

Right of transferability

You have the right to obtain your personal data that we process in a structured, current and machine-readable form. You also have the right to transfer this data to other controllers for processing.

Right to file a complaint
