Kappa Data’s ccFLEX is a significantly expanded managed firewall solution that builds on the existing CC-Hosted solution.
Lots of Barracuda partners in the Benelux are familiar with the CC-Hosted solution that Kappa Data built around the Barracuda Control Center. The best way to manage intelligent connections between offices and security at each office or device is from a central point.
Kappa Data hosts this Control Center in its data centre, and makes it available through licences, so every reseller and end user can afford access.
This service now has more than 2000 firewalls, and is a true success story in the added value provided by Kappa Data.
From a technical point of view, this is the absolute top point, but in terms of licencing there were limitations, especially in the context of flexibility and future vision.
With the new ccFLEX product, Kappa Data is taking a serious step forward. In the first place, a complete as-a-service model for firewall, licences and management layer will be available, for a monthly fee. Basically, you can rent a firewall.
The normal sales model will also continue, of course.
In addition, Kappa Data offers plenty of extras:
- Kappa Data uses OneLogin’s solution for identity and access management. It allows you to log in safely and easily on this and all other Kappa Data platforms.
- With our monitoring tool, every user of the solution can keep track of his/her devices and licences.

Our method
Are you interested in ccFlex? Then you can buy or rent the firewall hardware, and activate the necessary licences via the firewall management platform. You only pay for what you use within the platform.
You are then entitled to very rapid RMA settlement in the event of defects and technical interventions for installations, or repair assistance.
