Technical Solutions Engineer

In this role as Technical Solutions Engineer in the Ghent region, you will provide technical support to the sales team, give technical training courses, and work on a variety of projects such as WiFi Site Surveys. What does your day-to-day job look like?

As a Technical Solutions Engineer at Kappa Data Belgium, you will play a key role in our technical services. You will be part of a dynamic team where your expertise will really make a difference. Your responsibilities will be varied, with a clear focus on technical and presales support, technical knowledge transfer, and optionally also WiFi Site Surveys at customer locations.

  • Technical support for the sales team: You will provide technical support to the sales team. You will contribute ideas about project scopes, draw up kit lists, advise on the right solutions, and help to promote our technologies, products, and vendors to customers and partners. You will be the technical point of contact for your colleagues and will help them where necessary.
  • Technical training: You will provide technical training to an audience of IT professionals and immerse yourself in our vendors’ solutions. Kappa Data is an authorized training center for most of the vendors in its portfolio. You will help to transfer that knowledge in a professional and clear manner.
  • Site surveys: You will optionally carry out Wi-Fi site surveys on location at end customers. You will contribute to the initial Wi-Fi design and map out environments. Through your direct contact with the customer, you will strengthen the collaboration between distributor, reseller, and end customer.
  • Services: You will contribute to our current and future services and technological solutions.

In this role as Inside Sales in the Utrecht/Netherlands region, you will have the opportunity to be the first point of contact for our customers while actively contributing to the growth of Kappa Data in the Netherlands. What does your day-to-day job look like?

As Inside Sales you are the commercial engine behind our customer relations in the Netherlands. You actively contribute to market expansion and are responsible for:

  • You proactively contact customers by phone and carefully map their needs.
  • You plan strategic appointments for our Account Managers.
  • You support your colleagues in drawing up and professionally preparing quotations.
  • You actively follow up on quotations and ensure that orders are successfully won.
  • You handle incoming phone calls and process orders efficiently.
