About ZOL

The ZOL or Hospital-East-Limburg is located in the north-eastern part of Belgium. They have about 4000 employees, 500 doctors spread over 4 campuses. ZOL offers basic to highly specialized medical care.

“The biggest security challenge we faced for Armis was getting real visibility into our devices that we were effectively managing on the networks,” said Kurt Gielen, IT Managar ZOL. By using older devices, they lacked visibility into their devices. This is also a challenge for many hospitals.

 

Assets Managementtool

ZOL started a pilot project carefully guided by the Armis team. The first phase resulted in numerous dashboards, a proof of its effectiveness. Armis became an indispensable part of their security infrastructure.

“A specific use case with Armis is that we wanted to have an overview of all medical devices in the hospital and collect information about the devices so we could classify them, analyze the risks and take necessary security measures,” said Rudi Swennen, IOMT Engineer ZOL. Armis made this possible for them.

Armis’ Assets Management tool is the most important feature for them. This gave them a clear picture about the vulnerabilities of their equipment.
