Hello everyone! I’m Jef, and I’m going to take you through my first event that I had the privilege of attending during my internship. I will be doing an 11-week internship at Kappa Data in the Marketing team, where I get the chance to familiarize myself with the marketing world.
“How to Sell” is a session in which participants learn how to improve their sales skills. Participants receive practical tips and techniques to optimize their sales process. Additionally, they gain valuable insights and tools that help them sell more effectively.
On October 15, the How To Sell event by Barracuda Networks took place. During this event, participants were immersed in the world of Barracuda. Here, they learned how to enhance their sales skills related to Barracuda Networks solutions. At the same time, they gathered valuable insights and practical tools to better approach and close the sales process.
An Excellent Location
The event took place at Zelda&Zorro, a charming venue in Ghent. A place where you immediately feel at ease. Perfect for an event like this.
Upon arrival, everyone enjoyed a cozy cup of coffee, which allowed them to connect right away. Conversations flowed naturally, and connections were made. In short, everything contributed to a pleasant atmosphere within the group.
Getting Started
The session began with an introduction to Barracuda Networks by Nico Bosschaert, Director of Channel Sales Benelux. He explained what the company does, how the session would unfold, and what the participants could expect. Then, Frédéric Van Walle, Presales Engineer at Kappa Data, presented a pitch and shared practical tips.
Interacting with one another was central during the How To Sell session. The group was divided into smaller teams, where they worked interactively together. Each group prepared questions they could ask customers and created a product pitch.
After collaborating in smaller groups, everyone came back together to discuss the various questions from each group. This led to an engaging exchange of ideas and insights, where everyone could learn from each other’s approaches.
After discussing the questions, participants had the opportunity to present their own product pitch. This was an excellent exercise to apply the techniques and tips learned during the session in practice. Participants received targeted feedback, which provided a constructive and educational evaluation.
Concluding with a Delicious Lunch and Networking Moment
After the inspiring and interactive session, it was time for a well-deserved break. A delicious lunch was served, providing the perfect opportunity to continue the engaging discussions.
