Stormshield Log Supervisor evolves with LogPoint: toward more open and powerful log monitoring

Stormshield announces a major upgrade to its solution Stormshield Log Supervisor (SLS) with the integration of LogPoint, a well‑recognized Danish player in SIEM and log management. This strategic partnership transforms SLS into a more robust platform—open to many more sources and aligned with international security standards.

From SLS to SLS LogPoint: what changes

Originally, Stormshield Log Supervisor was a solution dedicated to collecting, centralizing, analyzing, and visualizing logs generated by Stormshield products, particularly the Stormshield Network Security (SNS) firewalls.

The tool already enabled:

• Faster detection of incidents

• Efficient analysis of security events

• Clear reporting for CISOs, IT directors or administrators

However, SLS had certain limitations: compatibility only with Stormshield logs, lack of advanced multi‑source correlation, and reduced features compared to major SIEMs like Splunk or ELK.

With the integration of LogPoint, SLS takes a leap forward.

The benefits from LogPoint

LogPoint is a European SIEM certified at EAL4, able to withstand advanced attacks and known for its real‑time analytical strength.

The benefits of this new SLS LogPoint version include:

• Retaining all the functionality of SLS

• More frequent updates, aligned with LogPoint’s schedule

• Support for multiple log sources, including non‑Stormshield ones

• Removal of the 100‑node limit for external log collection

• A solution suited to both large enterprises and SMEs

In short, SLS LogPoint combines the ease of use of SLS with the power of a full SIEM.

Deployment timeline

• As of October 1, 2025: every SLS renewal will switch to SLS LogPoint

• It is available for all new clients

• Existing clients may continue using their current SLS until their subscription ends, but they will not benefit from the new features or fixes

Migration to SLS LogPoint

Switching to SLS LogPoint will require:

• A fresh installation on a separate server with a new hardware key

• A migration plan ensuring compatibility

• Option to extend the license by one month to ease the transition

• Recommendation to start with a clean log history

• For those who wish to keep their old logs, a data migration process will be communicated later
