Tailor Made Administrator Training for End User Company – Security Awareness Training, 25/01/2022

Why

Since you are reading this, you do not need to be convinced that users need to be trained. More than that, you are planning to take on this responsibility yourself. Barracuda Security Awareness Training is a platform that allows you to send so-called phishing mails to analyze the behaviour of users. You can do the same with SMS, voice messages or USB sticks.

There are also several short films with explanations for the user, including tips & tricks. Additionally, you can set up an exam to check whether the user has understood everything correctly.

When you view the platform for the first time, you will notice that it is not entirely intuitive. It is important to know these things in advance so that you are not faced with the consequences of a false start afterwards.

Content

The training consists of 3 parts:

1. Setting up the cloud platform together (remote)

This is done relatively long before the training itself and is done based on various contact moments. This can be done via mail, phone, or Teams.

2. The training itself (on-site)
3. Creating the first campaign together (remote)

This duration depends on the desired campaign and the number of questions. It can take up to a couple of hours before the campaign has taken off. The follow-up afterwards is not part of this administrator training.

In the administrator training itself, you learn the main issues of the platform to create a campaign. The following matters are dealt with:

• Address books
• Using and manipulating email templates
• Using and manipulating landing pages
• Creating, planning, and following up a campaign
• Creating SMS campaigns
• USB is briefly mentioned
• Creating your own exam
• How to create an efficient campaign?
• How to give the user immediate feedback?

The biggest pitfall when creating campaigns is the focus on trying to trap the user. The first thing you learn in training is that your goal is to train the users. Just like a classical school education, you do not start with a difficult exam, but you build up gradually.

Target audience

Technical people who will manage the “Security Awareness Training” platform. It is strongly recommended that they have some knowledge of the company’s operations and its users. This is not necessary for the training, but it is necessary to make more targeted campaigns.

Requirements

• For the initial configuration (1st part) an employee is required with full access to DNS and Active Directory (or Azure AD) if applicable.
• A license of the platform must already be active.
• The phone number must already be active if SMSs need to be tested.

This training takes 1 day and is given in class.
