A selection of your tasks:

TASKS

As a Technical Solutions Engineer at Kappa Data Belgium, you will play a key role in our technical services. You will be part of a dynamic team where your expertise will really make a difference. Your responsibilities will be varied, with a clear focus on technical and presales support, technical knowledge transfer, and optionally also WiFi Site Surveys at customer locations.

• Technical support for the sales team: You will provide technical support to the sales team. You will contribute ideas about project scopes, draw up kit lists, advise on the right solutions, and help to promote our technologies, products, and vendors to customers and partners. You will be the technical point of contact for your colleagues and will help them where necessary.
• Technical training: You will provide technical training to an audience of IT professionals and immerse yourself in our vendors’ solutions. Kappa Data is an authorized training center for most of the vendors in its portfolio. You will help to transfer that knowledge in a professional and clear manner.
• Site surveys: You will carry out Wi-Fi site surveys on location at end customers. You will contribute to the initial Wi-Fi design and map out environments. Through your direct contact with the customer, you will strengthen the collaboration between distributor, reseller, and end customer.
• Services: You will contribute to our current and future services and technological solutions.

What substantive skills are important in the job:

• Knowledge of or interest in networking: routing, switching, firewalling, WiFi/RF, etc.
• Knowledge of or interest in the world of cybersecurity: XDR/EDR/MDR, pentesting, WAF, vulnerability management, etc.
• Knowledge of or interest in WiFi and RF: CWNA, Ekahau ECSE, etc.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a technological or similar role within the sector.
• Certifications in vendor solutions that we distribute are a plus, but not a must (such as presales certificates, technical certificates).
