What does your daily job look like?
Thanks to experience and an advanced level of training and certification the engineer participates in IT infrastructure operational management support and projects. In case of incidents he is able to liaise with customer’s technical representatives and vendor technical support to resolve complex issues. All our customers are integrators and resellers, no end-users.
What we expect you to do:
- Handle incidents that have been created through our ticketing system
- After a thorough research and evaluation of the incident you look for a solution to the problem
- If needed you can fall back on our senior engineers to assist before implementing the solution
- You implement the solution onto the customer’s environment
- If it can bring any benefit you can document the incident and the solution onto our Wiki
- After a good amount of training and experience you can also take care of the pre-configuration of some of the remote installations
- Once we think you have a fair amount of installations executed successfully we can let you give trainings to our customers.
Who are we looking for?
- Education: Informatics Bachelor Degree or Master Degree, or equal by experience
- Has good understanding and very good knowledge of some domains like Ethernet Switching, IP routing protocols, QoS, Wireless, Firewalls
- Passionate about Networking/Security Technologies, interested in bits and bytes
- High analytical thinking and procedures
- Good priority management, high level of pro activity and commitment
- Having a hands-on mentality
- Very good verbal and written mode of expression in English and Dutch, French is a plus.
- Motivated to invest in his/her career by self-learning
- Willingness to confirm his/her knowledge by required certification
